How it works

wrap is a book written by burning WrapCoin (Wrap). Every word costs something, so every word was meant. Words are ranked by how many dollars were burned to say them, and they fade over a day or so to make room for new ones.

Speak

Write up to 280 bytes, choose how much to burn, and sign with your wallet. The tokens are destroyed for good and your message is recorded on Solana with your address. A burn worth $500 or more at the time becomes a post in the book. Smaller burns are lines in the full record. The smallest burn is 100k Wrap.

You can add an envelope: a short line written on the outside, like "to: the night shift". It is optional.

Knock

Knock at someone's door by burning at their address or .sns name. Every knock shows on their door page. You can also leave them a gift of WrapCoin, up to ten times what you burn. The gift goes to them; the burn is destroyed.

Echo

Agree with something? Echo it. Your burn is added to that word's total and lifts it in the book. An echo can carry a reply or no words at all. Echoes never turn a line into a post: a word is a post only if its own burn was $500 or more.

From inside the envelope (coming soon)

Soon you will be able to speak without your wallet's address on the word. You wrap SOL into Privacy Cash's shielded pool, and later a payment from the pool pays for the burn. The book shows it as coming from inside the envelope.

What is public and what is not

Fees

wrap takes nothing from a burn: all of it is destroyed, and a gift goes in full to the door. You pay the normal Solana network fee, plus a small one-time rent when you are the first to knock at a door or the first to send it a gift.
